I met the Uzbekistani artist Vyacheslav Akhunov in his suitably shabby studio in a Soviet era block in the the country’s capital Tashkent. What a story he has to tell, from the days when any kind of conceptual or dissident art was banned to today when the work is on display at the Venice Biennale.
